Quantum Algorithms and NMR-Based Implementations in the NISQ Era

The Colombo Quantum Computing Meetup 2026 invites original research contributions for the special track “Quantum Algorithms and NMR-Based Implementations in the NISQ Era.”

Recent advances in Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) computing have created new opportunities to investigate quantum algorithms under realistic hardware constraints and to explore practical quantum computing applications. While large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computers remain a long-term goal, current quantum devices provide valuable platforms for algorithm development, benchmarking, and experimental validation.

Among the available quantum technologies, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) quantum processors continue to play an important role as stable and reproducible platforms for implementing foundational quantum algorithms, studying noise and decoherence effects, benchmarking quantum hardware, and supporting quantum computing education.

We welcome contributions that advance the understanding, implementation, and application of quantum algorithms and quantum information processing in the NISQ era.
